My Time In The Community
Background
Sacha grew up in SD61, where attended Sir James Douglas Elementary, Central Middle School and Esquimalt High School. For many years he was a Camp Counsellor for Youth For Change and Inclusion, an organization funded between SD61 and the Victoria Police Department to help get students engaged in their community, and break down barriers between police and racialized students. There he was a key organizer and helped other student members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community.
He served as an executive for the Camosun College Student Society, helping balance a multi-million dollar annual budget, and now works for the federal government as a non-partisan constituency assistant. Sacha lives in Victoria with his common law partner Rebecca, along with their small dog Shillelagh.
